报告题目:A parameterized finite volume method for the advection-diffusion equation in irregular geometries

报告摘要:Solving the advection-diffusion equation in irregular geometries is of great importance for realistic simulations. To this end, based on smooth multi-patch parameterizations, we devote to develop a finite volume method to solve this problem. Firstly, a second order accurate parameterized finite volume method for the advection-diffusion equation defined in an irregular geometry is described. Secondly, the properties of the numerical method are discussed. At last, three numerical tests in different irregular geometries are presented. By numerical results, the second order accuracy is reconfirmed and the numerical solutions are reasonable even with very coarse grids.
